The New Orleans Girls Club

The New Orleans Girls Club (NOGC) came to us wanting a full professional review and redesign of their existing Squarespace website, along with help with IT issues around their email services and consulting on setting up a membership programme through the site. They had a basic design in place already, but recognised the need for a more professional touch to elevate their online presence.

They wanted to keep the contemporary, spacious feel of their original site, so we built the redesign around that while noting their existing palette was limited to hot pink, black, and white. To enhance the visual appeal and break up large areas of white space, we introduced additional shades of pink for a more dynamic look, and added animated background sections in strategic places to strengthen the overall design. Cover images went on every page for a cohesive visual language throughout.

We reviewed the images NOGC provided and selected the ones that best complemented the site’s content, breaking up large sections of text and varying the layout from a single column to two or three columns in places to keep the site feeling fresh.

We also designed a new page for their membership offerings, presenting the benefits clearly and encouraging interested users to sign up for more information. Beyond the page redesigns, we helped with their Google Workspace, adding domains to their accounts and adjusting advanced settings to improve email functionality.

We also consulted with the NOGC team on email marketing strategy, offering recommendations on where to start. To keep the experience seamless, we integrated their new membership platform into the Squarespace site, configuring its branding to match the redesign.

The NOGC team was genuinely pleased with the work delivered, and we’re looking forward to continuing the collaboration, supporting further development on the membership platform and email marketing templates as the club grows.
