Anita Demetriou

Anita Demetriou is an experienced therapist who came to us wanting to move away from her existing WordPress website. She was struggling with the ongoing maintenance and frequent updates WordPress required, and that frustration was compounded by the fact that her previous site had been hacked and ransomed back to her. She needed a more secure, user-friendly platform that would prevent that from happening again.

After discussing her needs, we recommended Webflow. Anita was on board, so we began with design mockups in Figma for her homepage to establish a cohesive direction for the whole site. We incorporated new branding colours we developed for her while keeping her existing logo, as she requested.

Anita had a clear vision for her colour scheme: the one colour she wanted front and centre was a rich, dark purple. We built a palette around it with complementary shades and contrasting hues to enhance the site’s visual appeal, all in service of clear calls to action that would help visitors feel comfortable navigating the site.

Beyond the visual design, we worked with Anita to build out blog posts and additional pages using her original content, and we put real care into sourcing images that matched the emotions and themes she wanted to communicate. We also added subtle animations and interactive touches, like text that reveals on scroll, to create a calming, inviting atmosphere in keeping with her professional yet gentle approach as a therapist and coach.

Anita was thrilled with the final result. Since the site launched in 2018, it has needed very few changes, letting her focus on her inbox for new client enquiries rather than website maintenance. It has proven reliable and low-effort, exactly what she was hoping for.
